Can I truly know God? Did Jesus of Nazareth really rise from the dead? Can we trust the Bible? What about the future – does God have a good plan for this world? Is there life beyond the grave? Does my life have meaning and purpose? Adrian Isaacs’ Journeys of Faith is a platformthat exists to provide people just like you and I and opportunity to explore matters related to Christian faith, spirituality, and theology in a safe, educational, exciting, and enjoyable mannerwith the goal of growing in our knowledge and experience of God. Adrian’s desire is to seeindividuals embark on or continue their own “journey of faith,” recognizing the importance and the joy of life in Jesus Christ. We were created by God, and for God, and true fulfillment can only be found in Him.

This platform integrates three main components in an attempt to fulfill its overall mission. First, much space is given to thinking through the claims, beliefs, and truths of the Christian faith, and defending it. This is a “journey of the mind and heart,” though it is one intended to have enriching and practical results. The goal here is to understand Christian truth, perceiving, through the enlightening of the Holy Spirit, its utter truthfulness, with the result of growing in our relationship with Christ (or coming to know Him for the first time). Those who are already Christians will be better equipped to defend their faith when called upon to do so. 

The second component is a “journey into future,” so to speak. Here, we look at what the Bible teaches is to come regarding the future of this world, human society, and us as individuals. The technical term for this is eschatology (the doctrine of last things), but it is more popularly known as Biblical prophecy, or end-time prophecy. There is great joy and encouragement in studying Biblical eschatology, as we see the wonderful plan God ultimately has for humanity and this world.

Those first two components have their own dedicated blog sections. This final component doesn’t, but will “float” between the previous two as is fitting. This component considers the historical and geographical setting of the Christian faith – a “journey” to the lands of the Bible and Christian history. God willing, this will include actual tours and trips we will take together to learn more about the faith in the very locations where some of the events of the Bible and church history took place. Adrian is passionate about travel, and is well aware of the joy and enrichment that comes from journeying together, and physically situating ourselves in the geographical context of the faith.
